Rogue Waves consits of Zach Rogue and Pat Spurgeon. Their critically acclaimed recordings have allowed them to tour with the likes of Death Cab for Cutie, Jack Johnson, Spoon, Nada Surf, The Shins and more. Their albums, two of which were released on Sub Pop, two of which was released on Jack Johnson’s very own Brushfire Records, saw their songs scattered across the film and television worlds, appearing in Napoleon Dynamite, Heroes, Weeds, Nip/Tuck and more. Their recent album Permalight produced by Dennis Herring, was recorded in Mississippi with a new emphasis on drums and bass that brings a hyper-rythmic, exuberant and developed sound to the progression of Rogue Wave. The songs are faster-paced and achieve Zach’s inital goal to encompass the whole body.
